Phonon transport properties in solids
The main thermal conduction mechanism in nonmetals involves lattice phonon waves. In some semiconductors and alloys, it also dominates in a wide temperature range. The electron-phonon coupling coefficients and anharmonic phonon lifetimes can be obtained from atomistic modeling without any experimental data.
